Sable's words held a growing power that seemed to have the potential to change the world, until she was betrayed and silenced. A year ago, on the grandest stage of the land, Sable's voice came close to dismantling the elaborate lies of the Kalesh Empire. However, now her skills are being used as tools in High Prioress Vivaine's frantic negotiations with the new Kalesh ambassador, who has labeled Sable as a rebel, a firestarter, a zabat.

While Sable harbors a deep desire to bring down the empire, threats against her sisters, the disbanding of her acting troupe, and no word from Reese in a year have left her feeling shackled and isolated, unable to ignite any sort of resistance. The Keeper Origins trilogy and the Keeper Chronicles trilogy can be enjoyed in any order, as they are set in the same world but are independent stories.
